I'm starting to make a bridge for you current guitar and I'm wondering about string spacing. I've recently got the string spacing ruler from Stew-Mac and I'm looking forward to it's ability to set the string spacing on the nut.

So I'm wondering who uses a graduated string spacing on their bridges. Is there a benefit to graduating the strings on the bridge like there is at the nut. My thinking says yes, but I just wanted to see if others do it or what others think about it.

Thought about it years ago; talked with players. No one thought it would help; some thought it would throw their right hand off. My sense is that while the fretting hand is helped to make chords by even spaces between the strings, the picking hand learns equal spacing of centers and does fine with it.

I have always done this at the nut, but not at the bridge.

Graduated at the nut for sure....but even at the bridge.

I graduate the spacing at the bridge, but I don't think there is really any need to do so. I doubt anyone could feel the difference.
