The UPS man brought me a beautiful package today - a set of the quarter sawn cocobolo Bob had that came from a log that had been long burried. It looked great in the picture on the web site but the pictures didn't come close to showing how beautiful this wood is. I'm old school and like straight grain, quarter sawn wood. The wild slab sawn coco you see for sale doesn't do a thing for me. But this set is dead quartered and the colors are amazing. Bob, if you're out there I would love to know more about the history of this wood, and thanks for making it available however it came to you.

Thanks Bob, and Peace

Paul

Paul thank you for the kind words. Happy to see you like the set. I was told my my supplier that the loggers in Nicaraqua told him that the log that this wood came from was found buried for what they estimated as around 200 years. Whether this is true or not I really can't say. It is very beautiful none the less.
Here's a pic of Paul's set.
