Hi!

i have a couple of engel mann tops that have a yellowish color (1 in.) on the outer side (toward bark)

when i plane or scrape the area the yellow goes away..

does anyone know what is it?

i've asked some people and they said.. linfatic channels, mushrooms, dropped beer...

thank you

Sounds like UV exposure to me but hard to say without a picture.

I have experienced this as well with englemann. It is some form of oxidation or a reaction to light (UV maybe). If you put a sealer on it soon after final sanding, it seems to go away.
