That would be Charles Freeborn. He calls this his hybrid headstock and it is available on all his models.

Good one Barry! How does it feel to be the record holder for NTB? And, of course, be the owner of a $1 Million, OLF T and mug? :D

Right on Barry, it's all the fun stuff that makes this place so excitting.

Now can we see some more of that guitar Lance? :)

Hmmmm.... isn't the choice of which row of tuners still stick out to the side the ergonomically incorrect choice? (Still have to reach up on top of the head stock to tune the low 3 strings).

maybe I hold my guitar neck up higher than most people?

WOW! I made it to NTB fame! Finally now I can retire....
Thanks Lance for including me in the superb company that has preceded me, and I'm sure will follow.
The Hybrid Headstock is a real stinker to build, but once you get used to it, it's a real pleasure to use.
I've got 2 EIR, a Mad Rose and a Euro Maple Freestyles on the bench now. Hopefully at least 2 will be ready for Miami.
We've finally gotten our website software under control and I'll be adding some luthier pages soon, including my neck making jigs. I've got a 3" tall Byrd Shelix cutter on the way for pattern work that should really move the neck process along nicely.
