Tacomas made in New Hartford...there's something a little twilight zoneish about that.

It's no big deal. They'll do a fine job. I know some of the guys involved at the management level, and they will pull this off.

Does this mean that the Tacoma (Guild builders) will be shut down?

I seem to be in the vast minority of people who appreciate Guild. It seems that where ever I get into a discussion of Guild guitars invariably people complain about them being over built, heavy, unresponsive, reminds me of my ex....... :D

Some years ago when Alice In Chains did their unplugged MTV thing (superb album BTW) they used all Guilds and the sound was excellent.

I have a 31 year old Guild in a closet here, I think.....: Long Live Guild I say!!!!

Hesh, count me as another Guild fan. I've had a few and invariably they were good guitars. I wouldn't hesitate to own an older one.

Bill

PS: The overbuilt, heavy and unresponsive line is a classic!

I can't speak for any of the Guild 6 strings, but I've always thought of 12 string and Guild as being synonymous.

My Guild 512 is serial number (many zeros)15 from right after the move from Rhode Island to California.

What do you luthier jedis think about Guilds new neck attachment system? If you haven't seen it yet, it is pretty interesting... I too am a Guild fan, as well as Tacoma. Both good guitars for flatpicking and hold up to abuse well.
