I have been a lurker on the forum for the past few months, and decided it was time to identify myself and tell you all how very impressed I am with the activity. I have felt that anytime someone has a question, everyone went out of their way to answer it and help out. It seems that there is no competition among all of you very talented people. I recently retired as an industrial arts/technology teacher. I also have recently discovered the guitar after purchasing a left handed model and finding out that it works better that way for me. With my interest in music and woodworking it seemed like a perfect fit. I ended up going to Vermont Instruments and learning the craft through a very talented luthier and teacher, George Morris. I plan on being around awhile - and will start guitar number 2 soon. Right now I have a bedroom set to finish, and it looks like March will be the beginning of my solo work. If anyone is interested in following my experience in Vermont, visit my blog at http://www.bremerguitar.blogspot.com |

Welcome Ken. I taught seven years in High School Vocational too. You'll find more woodworkers here than you can shake a stick at. Okay, we want pictures, heading over to your blogspot to check U out. A quick run over to Ken's blog gives a link to this pic, his first last fall. Seems to be a lefty ay? Nice one Ken. Waddy, shake shake! |
