Hi, I'm a guitar nut, and I got my wife to put together a cruise group featuring guitar builders Michael Millard, Thomas Humphrey, and Michael Gurian. We're still trying to get the word out, so the cruise will fill and we can make Luthiers' Cruises a regular event. We have an ad at p. 119 of the current edition of Fretboard Journal, and further information at WanderHappy.com (click on Luthiers' Cruise) and at LuthiersCruise.com. Sorry to plug the forum with something that smacks of commercialism -- and for posting it in the wrong place the first time -- but I view these guys as artists, and it would be a crime not to let the Official Luthiers Forum know of this event. Oh, and the cruise is going to be spectacular -- Alaska in August!!!

Now, back to your regularly-scheduled discussion about saddle height the relative merits of zero-frets ....

I feel sorry for the Walruses that get to close to the boat - 100 Luthiers jumping in the water and tackling the Walruses to pull out their tusks........ :D

Seriously David thanks for letting us know - it indeed sounds like a great time!

I would love to go but unfortunately my wife teaches school and there is no way I can go in august as school is in session.

I do agree that a board for events and announcements would be a good idea though.
