I can't see any of the photos in the posts on the new format. Do I need to do something? Thanks, Jimmie |

Lance explained that somewhere. They have them locked out until they get the spammer blocks all in place. |

Will the pictures in the archives be available to view at some point in time? Easy enough to load pictures in new threads. |

Testing photos here. But does this mean that we can't upload a photo from our computer with out first posting it to a photobucket type website? I don't see how to upload a photo directly from my computer. |

Hesh, look directly under the text box (below the preview and submit buttons) and you should see another box to upload a file? That's the box! |

Just trying out the photo attachment process -- here's a guitar I made this past summer: (Hey, I just figured out how to embed the photo into the message, instead of it being in a separate attachment box...Is there an advantage of doing it one way over the other???) |

The only problem I know if is that it creates a load on your server and counts toward bandwidth used (if you pay your web hosting based on bandwidth, this could raise your costs). The other problem is if for some reason you delete the picture from your web site, it gets deleted here too. If you use the attachment feature of the forum's software, it is permanent and will not be changed based on other people's web sites. |

Thanks, Tracy & Rod!!! No, it wasn't a commission --- it was just something I built this past summer because I just HAD to use that beautiful curly redwood I had bought from RC Tonewoods a while back!! I'd never used redwood before, and I'd never built a normal classical before, either, so I thought I'd do this for my summer project. It's actually not totally "normal" --- it has my usual bolt-on neck, instead of the traditional Spanish heel. I love it! (Now if I could only learn to play in the traditional classical method!) I chronicled the building of this project here: http://pweb.jps.net/~msmatsus/htmlpages/c1.html |

I guess posting photos as attachments is the better choice, then! |

Posting pictures as attachments is the best way for the forum for the reasons explained. However, how do we do that in the middle of the text, rather than in a separate attachment box? Seems that unless we can do that it'll make things like tutorials very difficult to follow. If I want to upload a picture at a specific point in the text, how do I do that? Colin |

To get photos to appear in a specific order, upload the photos using the 'Upload attachment' system. Then a box will appear below the text box where you type posts labeled 'Attachments:'. Select the image you want, click 'Place inline' and it will appear in the post at whatever point you want it to appear. You can move them around then as much as you choose, just drag the [attachment] text as needed.. |

Personally i believe is is better for bandwidth to use "upload attachment" to keep the page refresh rate down. Click on the attachment to see the big picture. |
