I recently got an email from Claudia asking for picture and bio. It doesn't mention and I don't recall getting info about the format and such. Do they want just guitar pics or luthier pics etc. If anyone knows, please advise. I did ask by the way, but they have not responded. |

John, I got the same email and asked her the same question, she said "You can send both if you have them. If you don’t, send a picture of your work." I am going to send high res images of my guitars and one of me Plus the same bio I used for the HGF booklet. |

I got the same e-mail. I was wondering how long the bio was supposed to be? Since this is my first show to attend, there are a lot of unknowns and questions. Is there any place I could go to take a look at an example bio or could one you you e-mail or PM me yours so I would know what they expect? |

Ken, they really should have given some guidelinesfor this but at Healdsburg they wanted a bio of something like under 200 words or so. Keep in mind that they will probably fit several bios and pics per page. I wouldn'r worry about sizing the pics though let them do that but crop out anything but the guitar as much as possible. Make them closeups either showing the complete guitar or some special feature you think might be attractive. Also write your bio is the second person. |
