I'm looking for some books on solid bodt electric guitars--I've been looking on-line and rather than learn the hard way, I'd like to know which ones you are happy with. I plan to build a solid body or two with my son in the near future and would like to read up, or if anyone has one they don't mind parting with, let me know. Thanks |

Everyone always mentions 'Make Your Own Electric Guitar' by Melvyn Hiscock. Which is a good book, but I also got a lot of good info from 'Constructing a Solid Body Guitar' by Roger Siminoff. He has a lot of great methods that make the process easier. Ideally, you should get both. That's what I did. Dave |

What Dave said...I have both also and refer to them frequently. Good luck on the project with your son! |

The Hiscock book is great and check out Martin Koch's book too - I think it's better than the Simonoff book. I think these are the 2 best out there for building an electric guitar. Just my $.02. |
