I'm having trouble uploading photos to the forum. I keep getting this
message:
Persits.Upload.1 error '800a000e'

Invalid data format. You must include ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" in
your FORM.

/forum/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 117

I don't understand it. Don't you just hit the upload button, choose your JPEG
(<500kb) and upload it? I'm running an iMac with 10.4.11 Tiger. Help!

John,

I don't think that was very helpful.

Ken, are you using Safari?

Safari does not work for photos.  Firefox does work for photos but I can't do a hyperlink upload with it on my G5.
Anyway try Firefox, that'll work for pictures.

Hi Ken --

I can't help with your problem, but I saw your name and had to respond -- I play in a band with a guy who owns one of your guitars. His name is Steve Goldman. We rehearsed today, in fact, and he had your guitar with him. It's a real beauty -- WRC with a distinctive cutaway. Incredible projection on that bad boy! I keep trying to get him to let me build him one, but he says he has his dream guitar.

Awesome work!

Ken

Ken, thanks for the kind words. I need them after this mac attack. Steve has a quote on my website. I'm glad he likes his guitar.

Ken

Ken-
Sorry about that!
I'd been watching the football game and got tired of all the Mac ads!
BTW, I'm using Firefox as well (with XP). I'm no fan of Microsoft either. I've never used an operating system (incl Linux) that was 'ready for prime time' in my opinion, so I'm an 'equal opportunity abuser' where software is concerned.

For Mac users who want to resize photos and upload them to OLF this is working for me: Firefox browser and shrinkpictures.com. First I had to save a copy of the photo from iPhoto to my desktop. Then I resized and uploaded. Here's a photo of my endless martini rosette I just finished. My Mac is an iMac with intel Duo processors and OS X 10.4.11.

Great looking rosette, Ken - if you can do that you should be able to get your Mac TAKE the pictures!

Really like that rosette, Ken!

The issue with Safari is that when a url for an image or anything else is too long to fit onto one line in the post window, it puts a space (or hard return, can't remember which) into the line, which buggers up the [URL] and [IMG] statements. Word is that the new forum SW, which is PHP-based, and Safari should play well together.

As for Mac commercials, I think they're overly self-congratulatory IMNSHO. Have been for too long. And I'm a diehard Mac user.
