Since this thread came up I just remembered that the last neck block blanks I purchased was from West Penn Hardwoods, Inc. I think they were about $100 bucks and you get two necks out of it and a bunch of wood for blocks.

As I mentioned above, my current favorite place to buy Honduran Mahogany for necks (and blocks and whatnot) is Hibdon Hardwood. Good quality, great price, cut the way I want it.

There is this odd eBay seller called WoodyGoodies that has all sorts of things for sale, but among them recently are some 3" thick blocks of Honduran Mahogany that look like they were not good enough for solidbody guitars, so they got bandsawed diagonally. I took a chance and ordered some. The wood looks pretty good! I think the moisture content is too high in spots (maybe they were stored somewhere funky), but they will dry out. They aren't long enough for necks, but they will make dandy structural blocks when cut up properly. This allows me to save my billets (which are of sufficient length) for neck blanks.
