Hey guys, I've got a Brazilian Rosewood guitar here which has been appraised for $55k. If anyone is interested, I'll let it go for $28k. Drop me a private message and we'll talk. Eat Drink beehive

I think it is a well known fact that the average American male has a real difficult time judging the length and thickness of an object. This has been an interesting post that turned out just as I expected it to.
Good luck bending that flat sawn BRW........

In the end, the thickness wasn't what he thought but at just over 2", there could still be a nice yield. Did anyone from the OLF end up buying the table? If so, hopefully you will get some good pieces out of it.

Best Regards,
Simon

OK, it has been relisted. No reserve (sort of) with a start bid of $3500. The description now says 2". This has been discussed on other forums. I think one of two things happened. The winner nullified the deal when it turned out not to be 4". Or the seller ran the bid up with a proxy bidder (illegal, but what stops that?). Anyways, I think someone is about to get suckered into bidding impulsively (without reading the "new" description). Sorry, but this just seems fishy to me.

Buyer beware.

Mike
