If I'm not mistaken, a quasar is an extremely bright celestial object. They're generally brighter than entire galaxies and are easily visible from great distances.

Also, I'm going to ask my girlfriend more about those visors since I'll probably be in the market for one soon. I figure she's studying optometry right now so she'll probably know more about it than me (or at least know someone else who will if she doesn't). If I run into any relevant information, I'll be sure to pass it along to all of you. =)

If I remember correctly a quasar massively dense star for its relative surface area and has a consistent pulsation of its nuclear reaction therefore goes from bright to dim over and over again.
