This is in Richo's thread above, the address of his picture.

So to make a picture, the software needs IMG tags.

Like you have above: IMG]

Problem is, your address is incomplete.

So, add those together and you get:

{">}

">

May not work, I've been fooled before. Try those trees and it should work. bd

Justin, you aren't using a Mac by chance are you?  If so, switch your browser to Firefox, and you will be able to upload pictures.  Otherwise, use the little "tree with arrow" icon in the upper right hand  of the reply box.  It will give you a dialog box to browse your machine for the pic.  Pick the picture, and click open.  Then Click OK on the next box.  Duck Soup!

Here you go.

There was a bogus space and wrongway slash in the pic url.

If you're on a Mac, posting pics from Safari doesn't work. Chances are better with Firefox.

Nice bench!

It is cool to see so much nice work being done. Here is my progress on a Bear Claw Sitka/Myrtle/Coco OM.

Rod it's great to hear that you had some shop time!!!

Bob you and Dave did an excellent job of cleaning up your shop.  Now doesn't this make trips to Le Fridge less stressful

Also - what is that beautiful dark neck on the rack in front of the most guitars that I have seen posted in one pic on this forum ever?  I also see a Festool box.

Brad beautiful work as always from you and the inlaid head stock looks very cool too.  And more Festool boxes there too!

Ken you are another one who puts us all to shame with your very high level of output.  How do you like your Williams Jig?

Richo I see some really beautiful work in your shop - outstanding!!!

Bruce is that a $50 gold piece and what is it worth now with gold going up?

Sam no pics?????

Justin great bench and a very efficient use of space.

Pat thanks for the tech support!

Very nice Steve be sure to show us progress pics?

Great job everyone - lets see more.

Here at Blanchard guitars......

This is a Tamarack model in Panama rosewood and Euro spruce that I recently strung up.

Hanging in the corner are three Bristlecones in varying stages of finishing. The center one is my 100th guitar!

This is a ClassiCool (nylon string) that is currently under construction. Madagascar rosewood and bearclaw Engelmann.

Lastly. This is an antique Boston rocker that I am restoring.

That's what's shakin' in my shop !

Mark

OK, I did a number of things this weekend.  First, I carved some top braces.

Then, I carved on the heel of my neck, which was still in very rough form.  Trying to get ready to assemble a guitar here.

Getting closer to acceptable shape now.

Next, I assembled my Solera Go-Bar deck and glued some braces..This was my last act tonight.

First time to glue braces on a top.  We'll see if I was quick enough.  I staged the bars so all I had to do was lift them onto the braces after I put them down.  Seemed to work.  I'll have to glue the rest tomorrow night.  Not enough room or Go-bars.

Thanks for looking.

Just some homemade, er, handcrafted tools and jigs.

Bruce, I could weep at those silver dollars. My grandmother used to give us one every time she visited when I was a kid. I had a dozen or two saved up sometimes. 'Course that was in the 50s.

Awesome is right - great job Waddy!  I want to talk to you about an idea that came to be that has to do with using your spring loaded go-bars on a fixture that could be dropped on the back or top of a guitar to clamp a top or back on with HHG.  What I am thinking is that your go-bars, since they are somewhat self adjusting would be perfect for where one needs to clamp an entire top but do it in 15 seconds.  If they were all attached to a caul the same size as the guitar shape this caul need only be positioned on the top or back and dropped, figuratively speaking, on.  And perhaps weighted depending on how heavy it was made.  The individual go-bars would apply even pressure at all the points around the perimeter of the back or top.  Something like this would make using HHG to attach the top or back a breeze.

Pat beautiful work and your jigs and tools look pro quality!

Thanks Bruce - this seems to be a very opportune time to sell rare coins.

Beautiful work Mark as always from you!

Well since I started this thread I got a lot done on the latest OM.

So my sides are now bent, blocks glued in, rim is in the mold, and the top and back or the rim were sanded in the dishes, hopefully the correct ones...  And I just mixed up a new batch of HHG for the next steps.

Today I am disguising myself and headed to the fabric store to check out an idea that I got from David Collins for a more substantial and authentic side tape material.  If I can find this stuff, that has a looser weave, I want to try Todd's method of using HHG to attach the tapes.

Great work everyone - let's see some more

Alain, I have this same dust maker in my shop. I see you've gone to dual 4 inch suction lines. How does that work for you?

Mine is a General, yours appears to have a different name? But they are the same machine. General International is of course marked in Canada and USA but are Taiwanese. General is Canadian made. I like mine a bunch.

Nice guitars too Alain, cozy shop.

Just finished this troji last night. Thanks to Rod True for the inspiration. Now I don't have to chase guitars around on my bench when sanding.

Got the old vise from my uncles shed about 25 years ago, and it's been hanging around since then. I knew there was a reason I hang on to all this junk.

Also, finished my sanding jig for the fingerboard extension. As seen in another thread a couple days ago.

Now it's time to get back to guitars.

Cheers

Simpson your Mortise and Tenon Jig looks really nice.
Taking Orders?

I love it several years ago when David Mitchell made sanding discs. Ordered and reordered, making four. Great deal.

I must have missed this. I'm kicking around doing some M and T's to speed up neck attachment from the dovetails I do now. bd

Thanks Bruce,

I'll get a couple shots of the inside tonight, if I think of it. Not as cool looking as Rods, and I decided not to cut the contour of the body into it. But it seems to work just fine with the guitar in any position.

And the only thing I had to buy was the foam.
