Something that might interest you folks…

I have made a number of these guitar hangers over the last few years for friends and family. I just made two curly black walnut hangers for my son’s music playing, music recording and video gaming spot.

Pretty easy to make in case you want to make one. Just need a 4/4 billet and the following :

Router bit - https://www.rockler.com/rockler-t-slotwall-cutter-bit

Hangers - https://a.co/d/7bpoOIx

These are 48” long and can hold 4-6 instruments comfortably. The heads on the hangers swivel from straight on to 45 and 90 in both directions. There are teeth that lock it into place.

Any questions let me know.

nice...looking at proportions and reading the specs, am I correct in thinking the length of the part the cuts the seen slot is 7/16"?

Right at that. The overall cutting height of the bit is 13/16 and the head of the T slot part is 5/16.

What I did was exposed the bit above the router table by 3/4”.

The hangers sit fairly flat at that depth.

Hope that helps!

Very cool! I did something similar by buying a bunch of String Swings, but replacing the wall mounts with a long board with lots of T-nuts loaded from the back, 6” apart. This lets me move the String Swings (which thread into the T-nuts) anywhere I need them to be along the board. Yours is probably better.

Very cool!
Can't help but ask, is the foam in the "C" cradle lacquer compatible?
I over-lap wrap all my foam holders with thick cotton polyester "ribbon".

Great question. No clue. I didn’t consider it because I don’t shoot lacquer, but that doesn’t mean those factory instruments won’t suffer!

How would I test?
