A while back I had just built a workbench and coated the top with some poly. Shortly afterwards I spritzed a pair of figured sides with SSII. The following day I noticed that where the overspray landed the poly was coming off.

Yikes! What's in that stuff? Hopefully it doesn't soften your liver! laughing6-hehe
I wonder if antifreeze would be as good as a paint stripper? Some paint strippers list ethylene glycol as an ingredient.

Ethylene glycol is lethal if ingested, and cats and dogs like to lap up the stuff. I think it's too dangerous to use the stuff for anything besides its stated purpose.
