"The only reason I could think for replacing the sandpaper so frequently was that even a couple of drags over the surface changes the paper enough that it threw off his system. One neck he only dragged it one time to get the fit he wanted, but still replaced the paper."

Obviously he wasn't buying the sandpaper. gaah

I buy my sandpaper locally because Fre cut costs over a dollar a sheet. Now I don't mind paying that for quality sandpaper (and they are good paper), but I do mind paying double the price again for shipping on them.

The availability of Fre cuts in Taiwan is rather limited. They are available but not in the variation of grits I like. There are lots of Fre cut ROS pads however just not loose papers, who knows why.

What do you think about sticking velcro onto a radius block so you can use hook and loop paper on them? Would the softness of the velcro change the radius?

The trash can full of 4" X 12" pieces of self-stick gold was right in front of me in easy reach - however, when he pulled up the "used" piece he folded it on itself so it was stuck together. Oh well

I don't think it would change it enough to matter - it might change a 16 inch radius block to 15.9 inch.

Terence, I haven't heard anything from Euphonon for many years. Are they still in business?

I have bought a lot of wood from Walter over the years but the last order was some neck blanks about a year ago. I got the impression he was winding down slightly but I need some stuff and will be calling him soon. I will let you know.
His Mahogany for necks and bodies are great.

I just got in an order from Euphonon today. They aren't carrying strings any more but still have a few left. They still have plenty of bridge blanks. Im not sure about other supplies since I just needed strings and bridge blanks. They carry the best quality BRW bridge blanks for the best price of anywhere I have found. I'm bummed they aren't selling strings any more because they had the best prices anywhere. They are probably the only company left that doesn't have a website, and orders are placed over the phone, and they send out the order with an invoice and you mail in a check. So old school; I love it.
