Hmmm.....
I think we are forgetting here that a guitar like a telecaster is just a tool. This feels, to me, like production of a kind of religious iconography. But others will differ, and I am sure they will sell well!

Yes, but there has always been a market for "gent's" tools - those that were dressed up with rosewood and brass fittings and not used by those with "dirty hands".
