Build for me. I can then do whatever design I want. Also I think building the jig is part of the fun of building the instrument.

I like simple. Minimalist, if you will. The ratchet clamps make it a lot quicker than the eyebolts I used to use.

For a while I used Mike Doolin's way, clamping the tail first, but didn't see much advantage to that, so I went back to waist-first. I keep meaning to make the form tilted, so that there's no slope between the upper and lower bouts, so the sandwich won't want to slide down before the waist clamp goes on. That idea was in a post here years ago. It was such a good one, I'm surprised it never caught on.
