Inspired by Burton LeGeyt (and with his permission), I've been working on developing a precision circle cutter. After lots of trial and error, buying a bridgeport milling machine, and a couple of so so prototypes, I've finally come up with something I'm happy with. It can cut circles from about 3"d - 28"d on center (depending on which trimmer is used), allows the user to dial in the cut to the thousandth, and works with 3 different trimmers and 5 different bases- including two plunge bases.

I used the circle cutter last night and got amazing results. I was able to extract a rosette from a top a client decided they didn't like and inlay it into a new top flawlessly. The tool is incredibly rigid and incredibly precise. This should make my rosette inlays a breeze. I can also use it to cut out other circle inlays and even radius dishes.

I love it. I've been wanting to add the dial indicator to my Bishop Cochrane since seeing Burton's. I was actually looking at them on Amazon just yesterday. Are you going to be putting yours into production?
