I wanted to say how pleased I have been over the years with the Shop Services offered by LMI. Particularly their re-sawing and sanding services.
Not once, but at least a half dozen times I have been impressed with the excellent quality of their service.
A reasonable turn around time for sure (several weeks usually) but more importantly, the yield always surpasses my expectations as well as the quality and accuracy of the finished materials.
The quality of LMI's services has encouraged me to source materials in many new ways which would otherwise be closed to me.
Kudos!

They do some fantastic work at LMI. The slotted and radiused fingerboard i got from them as well as the joined rosette routed top were good quality work. Basically anything you get from them is good [:Y:]

The service I have recieved from LMI has without a doubt been without peer. I'm even quoted in their catalogue and on their website as saying so! They have never taken more than 5 days to get stuff to me, and remember, I'm on the other side of the Atlantic! No matter how large or small the order it just arrives almost before I've logged off their website.

I have never used them for their woodwork, but I get most of my purfling and trim from them. I have never had a problem and it is always shipped fast too.

GREAT folks to deal with!

I wanted to mention this mainly to remind folks that if they find some promising lumber (for instance, much of the Brazilian rosewood I've had over the years has been bought in planks from "basement diving") there is a way to get it resawn professionally at a reasonable cost.
