Cheltenham.

Had an AWESOME time last year, a low key, non- commerical feel and I just loved that way I could be an all out nerd for the day....being under the same roof as some of the most beautiful guitars in the world was an amazing experience.

HGL - Healdsburg!  HGF was great too and attracts talent and attendees from all over the world.

I had a great time at this show and met many OLFers there, some that I had not met prior.  This list includes John How, Rick Turner, Mark Blanchard, Tim McKnight, Brock Polling, Jim W., Howard Klepper, Jeff Yong and more.

Great show!

Jody, where do you live? Proximity is important to some.

I went to the Dallas Guitar Show last year. It is mainly an electric and vintage show, with evening performances. But there were some acoustic builders and many dealers there who also sold acoustics, used and new. Saw some of the new Bob Taylor guitar line which was fun. Lots of old Martins, Fenders, Gibsons. And they had a Museum exhibit of sorts with some high dollar collectibles.

I will be at the Newport-Miami guitar show in April. It is the closest to me.

I would love to see a good guitar show in Atlanta. It would be a great show because it is centrally located to the folks on the east coast. As far as I know, one doesnt exist for Atlanta.

Since you are asking about this year then Montreal would be the tops on my list. If you had a two year span then it would be a toss up between Montreal and Healdsburg. The deciding factor would be which ever you are closest to.

Newport, which is moving to Miami Beach this year is a great unkonwn at this point. Henry Lowenstein has pored a great deal of time and money into it already and I have complete confidence that he is going to pull off a great show since he has some experience running other trade shows in the past. Ask your question again in May and we will let you know
